Integrated Query Engine
An integrated query engine allows users, using a point and click interface to create custom reports. The query engine is mindful of any security parameters that have been set up. Reports can be output to HTML, PDF files or as CSV files that can be read by Excel.

Robust Reporting
A Print Screen icon is available for every screen that is set up in the system. This icon will create a nicely formatted report of the data that is presented on the screen. No effort is required by the implementer to make these reports available. Integration with an XML based open source reporting engine (JFreeReports) allows complex reports to be setup within the system.

Complex Forms and Letters Capability
The application has tight integration with Open Office's word processor. Complex, multi-page forms and letters can be created that leverage all of the functionality resident within Open Office. Robust tables, data merges, conditional text and document includes can all be configured within the system.

Sophisticated Data Edits
Sophisticated data warnings can be configured that alert the user to potentially problematic data. Data errors can be customized to prevent users from saving data that is incorrect. Warnings can also be set up that allow the user to turn them off globally or by employee.

Document Archiving
All reports, forms and letters can be archived within the application's archival capability. Descriptions can be attached to any document and the user can retrieve documents that have been archived years later.

Integrated Document Scanning
Imaging functionality allows the user to scan documents with any TWAIN compatible scanner and attach them to an employee. Categories and keywords can be assigned to the documents for subsequent retrieveal. When documents have been attached to an employee, an icon will will be present indicating that the employee has associated images.

Integrated Calendaring
A calendaring capability allows project information to be record, resources assigned to projects and graphical calendars produced that easily allow benefit managers to understand their project workload.

Excel Integration
Excel workbooks can be invoked seamlessly from within the application. Data from the record keeping screens can be loaded into worksheet cells, a calculation run and calculation results retrieved from the workbook and written back to the system. This allows previously developed calculation logic to be leveraged by surrounding it with robust record keeping, batch calculation and forms & letter capability. Excel spreadsheets can also be created by the system with robust formula driven capabilities.

Integrated Team Room
The Team Room allows users to upload any type of file to a document repository. Topics and sub topics allow the documents to be categorized. Robust permission capability controls who can upload, view, change and delete what documents. Document version history is retained by the system allowing the user to understand what changes have been made to a document over time.

Automated Control Testing
The hrMecca administration platform has control test automation integrated into the core application in such a way that the same domain experts that set up the system can also build out the automated control tests. Using our platform, implementation teams can set up whatever control tests are necessary to ensure that calculation output is accurate, all without needing any external IT support.

Integrated Case Management
A Case Management function allows administrators to setup cases, track workflow and create reports that allows them to understand what needs to be closed out when. An icon in the icon bar at the top of the application appears when outstanding cases exist for the employee selected.

SLA Engine
All transactions that flow through the system are recorded in a Service Level Agreement (SLA) database. Service level parameters that dictate how fast individual transactions must complete by can be set up and reports can be generated that detail what transactions are flowing through the system and whether or not service levels are being met.

Batch Processing Engine
Batch jobs can be scheduled to run in the background immediately or on a predetermined date/time. Batches can be configured to run in a multi-threaded fashion, allowing lengthy jobs to leverage the application's use of message queues by distributing work load across multiple servers.

Integrated Backup/Restore
Backups and restores can be run from within the system. The system will block users from accessing the application while backups and restores are being performed. A download capability allows the sytem operator to pull the data off of the server to their workstation.

Integrated Promotion
Configuration information (XML and javascript) can be promoted from development, through QA and to production from within the system. Access rights ensure that this capability is exposed only to those with the proper permissions. A log keeps track of what promotions took place. A "Diff" capability allows the implementer to understand what differences exist between versions of the configuration.

Send Global Messages
The system has the ability to send global messages to all users across multiple clients. Messages can be future dated as well as have expiration dates that prevent users from receiving broadcasts if they don't log in within a specified period of time. Delete flags can be set that require the user to overtly delete the message, ensuring that it is actually read by the user.

Execute SQL
An Execute SQL capability allows knowledgable users to push SQL statements against the MySQL database. Update statements can be executed that allow data to be changed globally. When the sql executed is a query (and not an update), an Excel spreadsheet is returned containing the data pulled by the query. A configuration setting can prevent update queries from being executed by users who don't have "implementation" privilege.
