Data Warnings And Errors

Data errors and warnings can be set up when screens or dialogs are loaded as well as when they are saved. Warnings can be configured to optionally ask the user it they want to suppress the warning. Suppression can take place globally (i.e. regardless of the employee that is selected) or at the employee level (i.e. a warning is suppressed for one employee but not the rest). The ability to suppress messages can be applied to all users or just certain "super" users.

The dialog to the right shows a data warning that alerts the user to potentially problematic data when a record is loaded. Note that the user can click on the "Don't show this warning again for this participant". When this is done, the warning will not appear again for for the currently selected employee.

Data Warning...
This dialog has very similar functionality to the previous one except that the check box will turn the data edit off regardless of the employee that is selected.

While the previous warning was a load one (i.e. it is presented when a dialog or screen is loaded), this one is a save warning. Note that the user can elect to ignore the warning and save the data anyhow.

System messages that may be edited by non-technical staff drive the error and warning text that is presented to the user.

Note that they can be configured to have embedded data tokens in them that the system will replace with data from the currently selected employee.

Suppress Message Users...
The system can be configured so that only certain users may turn off warning messages. When this screen has no entries, then all users may turn off warnings. When it has one or more entries, then only the users that are on this screen will have the ability to turn off warnings.
