How It Works

Setting Up a Screen

How to set up a screen

Setting up a new screen in the hrMecca administration system is a five step process. XML configuration sets up the screen, menu and any drop downs on the screen. Javascript is then created to set up any edits that are needed to ensure that the data is correct.

Using The Integrated Query Builder

Setting up a data query is easy with the "point and click" user interface provided by the query builder. From the Fields dialog, select the data elements that will appear on the report. From the Records dialog, the employee data to report on is specified. The Sort Order dialog determines their order. Once this information is written to the database on the Save dialog, the query can be run and output can be saved as PDF, HTML, XML or Excel.

Building A Form Letter

Sun Microsystem's Open Office word processor has been integrated into the hrMecca administration system. Complex forms and letters can be setup that leverage all of the capability of Open Office. Tables of multi-record information such as earnings data can be embedded into a document. Conditional text can be set up that is removed when data is set to certain values.

Document Scanning

An integrated imaging engine allows the application to scan documents using any TWAIN compatible scanner. Categories and keyword can be assigned to the document when it is saved to the database. Image data is saved in an encrypted format ensuring that the documents are secure.
